JSVGO Browser Extension

JSVGO helps you capture selected job postings and use your career profile when preparing applications. When you request a capture, it reads posting content and its URL, including available title, employer, description, location, work arrangement, and compensation details. Information you choose to save is sent to your JobStoryVault account. It does not collect your general browsing history or scrape pages in the background.

The extension stores a session token and cached profile information locally to maintain your connection. Career Clipboard copies information only when you choose a copy action. Autofill reads supported application fields and fills them after your confirmation; it does not submit applications. Disconnecting clears the locally stored session and cached profile. Saved account records remain subject to your account deletion and privacy controls.

Troubleshooting events are kept locally for up to seven days, limited to the latest 100 events. These contain action names, timing, success status, and numeric status codes, not page text, URLs, account identifiers, or tokens. You can clear or download diagnostics and choose whether to share them with support.

Notwithstanding broader provisions elsewhere in this policy, data obtained through JSVGO is used only to provide or improve its user-facing job-search and application features. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, creditworthiness or lending, or transfer it for unrelated purposes. These limits also apply to aggregated, anonymized, and de-identified data obtained through the extension. Transfers are limited to service providers necessary to deliver these features, user-authorized actions, and uses permitted by the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

We collect information you provide directly to us, information generated through your use of the Services, and certain technical information automatically collected through your interaction with the platform.

These outputs are generated algorithmically and may require user review and verification.

3. AI Processing & User Responsibility

JobStoryVault uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to process career-related data.

While we strive for accuracy:

• AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies
• Users are responsible for reviewing generated content
• Users should verify resumes, applications, certifications, dates, and achievements before use

Automated Decision-Making Technology (ADMT): While JobStoryVault utilizes AI to organize your data and generate recommendations, we do not use Automated Decision-Making Technology to make employment decisions, determine credit eligibility, or restrict access to essential services. Our tools assist you in your career journey, but we do not act as an employer or automated recruiter.

JobStoryVault does not guarantee employment outcomes, hiring decisions, or career advancement.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell personally identifiable information ("PII") to third parties.

However, we may use, analyze, aggregate, anonymize, de-identify, or commercially utilize platform data in ways that do not identify individual users.

We may share information in the following situations:

A. Service Providers

We may share information with vendors, hosting providers, analytics providers, AI providers, and contractors who assist in operating the Services. Our third-party AI sub-processors are contractually prohibited from using your personal data to train their foundational models.

B. Legal Compliance

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or legal process.

C. Business Transfers

If JobStoryVault is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

D. Aggregated & Anonymized Data

We may use, publish, license, sell, or share aggregated, anonymized, statistical, or de-identified data derived from platform usage, including professional trend data, workforce analytics, skills trends, resume analytics, hiring trends, and platform insights.

This data will not include names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, uploaded original documents, or direct identifiers. It will not intentionally identify individual users and will be processed to reduce re-identification risk.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to:

• Provide the Services
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes
• Enforce agreements
• Improve platform functionality

Users may request deletion of their accounts and associated personal data subject to legal, security, backup, fraud prevention, and operational retention requirements.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to opt-out of certain profiling or Automated Decision-Making Technologies. As noted in Section 3, we do not use ADMT for employment or eligibility decisions.

7. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect user information.

However, no system is completely secure, internet transmissions cannot be guaranteed secure, and users transmit information at their own risk.

8. Third-Party Services

Our Services may integrate with or reference third-party platforms or providers, including AI providers, cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, authentication providers, and document processing tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. If you import data from third-party platforms, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to do so under their respective terms.

9. Children's Privacy

JobStoryVault is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

10. International Users

If you access the Services outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where data protection laws may differ.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes become effective when posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
